Tuesday in class

In class you will be working with your groups to finish the Costa Rica Project. You will be working and finalizing your Costa Rica Travel Projects.  Continue with this by filming video, recording lines, inserting pictures etc. This project is due on Thursday of this week.

For Homework please translate the sentences in this document. Your next set of preterite verbs will be used and the crafts/jewelry vocabulary will be needed.

We are currently working with informal commands in Spanish and also object pronoun placement. Today in class all students received their textbook codes for our online textbook Avancemos.

Students also received a vocabulary list relating to Airport travel and will be having a quiz on both object pronouns and vocabulary next Thursday. We will spend one more class on commands with object pronouns, but students should study these commands, rules for object pronoun placement and airport vocabulary.

Please complete the travel packet. Define all of the words in packet and complete activities a-c. We will be working with commands in class on Thursday too.

On Wednesday of this week you will be having a quiz on: future, present progressive, 2 verbs side by side and tener+que.

There will be some sentence translations on it along with a reading that will have questions about the information read using the grammar.

Be sure to review the forms of ir, tener, stem changers and estar.


Also don't forget to complete an audio recording on vocaroo.com. Record 4 sentences using the chart that you used for speaking today in class. Record one sentence per grammar area (4 total). Use details in your sentences.

Bienvenidos a la clase de Señora Tavares

¡Bienvenidos a mi clase! Espero que hayan disfrutado las vacaciones y que estén preparados para una experiencia nueva de la lengua española. 

On our first day together, I explained the course expectations and we did a couple of activities that allowed you apply question words and basic writing skills. Also, we talked about the first speaking assignment which is listed below. 
I am excited to get to know all of  you and about teaching the skills necessary for you to have a solid foundation for future Spanish classes that you will be taking in the future at Natick High.
